fridays at faction

sketches, photos and postcards from faction brewing in alameda

In 2015 my life changed: divorce, the end of a 20+ year interior design career and a new job with a global corporation. One evening a friend took me to Faction Brewing, out on the old naval base in Alameda. We had so much fun there with warm and friendly people and an amazing view of San Francisco. With all the changes in my life, I found myself alone quite a bit and so after work on Fridays I would head over to faction and bring my little travel watercolors and sketchbook and paint the view while drinking my favorite beer (Anomaly or a dark stout). It became a weekly ritual and eventually a few friends started joining me.

I now have more than 300 sketches from those visits.
